STAY IN BAKEWELL
AN ENCHANTING MARKET TOWN IN THE HEART OF THE PEAKS
Bakewell receives visitors throughout the year to enjoy the wonderful Peak District scenery, local crafts, farmers market, tea shops and riverside walks. Popular summer events include the Well dressings, Carnival Week, The Arts Festival and Bakewell Show. Also nearby are Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House.
Mondays and Bank Holiday Mondays are Bakewell Market Day market day when you can find the streets alive with a wide variety of stalls including home wares, foods, clothes, local produce and gifts. The cattle market is still held on a Monday but is now housed at the Agricultural Centre on the edge of town. Once a month on a Saturday at the Agricultural Centre there is a farmers market where you can purchase a variety of locally grown produce including, meat, cheeses, mushrooms and wines.
We offer two options to stay with us, firstly, in one of our two en suite rooms at The Manners or at our sister property Avenue House, a beauitful Victorian property, just a minutes walk down the road. Scroll down to see more about each option.
